For me, creativity doesn't end at the canvas.

I believe there is an art to living — to growing a garden, preparing and enjoying food, listening to music that moves you, creating spaces that restore you, caring for your mind and body, and surrounding yourself with color, texture, beauty, and possibility.

Creativity engages all of our senses. It can be something we see, hear, touch, taste, grow, make, or experience.

At Whimsy Rae's Artistry, art is more than something to hang on a wall. It is an invitation to experience life a little more creatively — to notice what brings you joy, express what makes you uniquely you, and discover beauty in places you may not have thought to look.

Because art isn't only something we make.

The Artist Behind Whimsy Rae’s Artistry

I’ve been creating for much of my life, exploring drawing, painting, mixed media, resin, wearable art, music, and whatever new medium sparks my curiosity.

My work has traveled farther than I once imagined—from exhibitions in Wilmington to pieces appearing in the FOX’s series Our Kind of People. Some works have been sold, commissioned, gifted, or found homes I may never see again.

That taught me something important: what we create can live beyond us—almost like hieroglyphics, leaving a little evidence that we were here.

That idea is at the heart of Whimsy Rae’s Artistry.
